Which world economy is growing faster than China's? - answer, Dubai.
There are currently business opportunities in Dubai like nowhere else in the world.
Every sector of the economy is growing, and growing rapidly and the region is hungry for products and services of the highest quality. Whilst we probably all imagine that the construction industry is booming there it's much more than that. On a recent visit to Dubai and was amazed, for example, at how many British solicitors I met who are resident there with practices growing all the time.
I recently met the owner of a graphics business who said to me:
"I sometimes think I'd like to set up somewhere else but, quite frankly, with what's going on here it's so easy to grow your business"
No longer is Dubai just about oil - In 2005 94% of GDP came from non-oil sectors - and it's all kinds of sectors. Do you know , for example, that Hello magazine, and other well known titles, are published in Dubai - by Motivate Publishing.
A Client of mine, Beldorm in Bolton, who are exceptional in bedlinen have just taken on an important new supplier - in Dubai.
Here's some facts about Dubai you may not know:
Dubai has the densest concentration of shops in the world
There are 300 hotels and 30 shopping malls
There are no corporate taxes, there are no income taxes, there are no trade barriers
Dubai has the fifth highest water usage per head in the world
It has the highest quantity of gold bought per capita in the world
Dubai Mall is the world's largest and is the size of 50 soccer pitches
They are building a new airport at Jebel Ali the size of Heathrow and Chicago put together
80% of the UAE is desert
There are currently close to 6000 construction sites in Dubai - including an underwater hotel

There is an indoor ski slope in Dubai with green, blue, red and black runs, 6000 tons of snow and covering an area of three football pitches

Everything going on in Dubai is on a scale difficult to imagine, but one thing's for sure - there are opportunities for you there that you simply should be capitalising on - no matter what your business.
